New Trash Contract to Begin October 3, 2018

All residents to receive 96 gallon cart as part of new contract
Starting October 3, 2018, all City of Holton residences will be serviced using green 96-gallon Waste Management trash carts.  Waste Management will deliver carts September 25-27 to all those who don't already have a green Waste Management cart.  No action is required on your part to receive a cart.  If you already have a green Waste Management cart, please have it at the curb these days so it can be evaluated and replaced if necessary.  For weekly trash pickup the carts need to be placed curbside each Wednesday, by 6:00 a.m., beginning October 3 and should be placed three feet clear of vehicles, trees, mailboxes and other obstacles.  Trash should be placed inside the carts and not in bags on the ground.  Only trash inside the cart will be picked up.  If you feel you need a second cart due to excess trash, you can contact City Hall at 785-364-2721 and request one for an additional monthly fee.  After trash has been picked up carts are to be moved off the curb and stored on your private property during the rest of the week.  If you do not receive a cart at your location during the delivery time frame of September 25-27 please call City Hall to report being missed.
